The Highest Standards for Health, Safety, and Maintenance
Operations & maintenance teams are deployed regularly to guarantee site safety and peak performance, and to quickly address any challenges. Priorities include panel and inverter maintenance, site water management, timely mowing, and site security.
Land Restoration
Ørsted is legally obligated to fully restore the Cabin Point Solar site upon the conclusion of the lease. A financial instrument will be posted such that the decommissioning will be funded regardless of the ownership of the project at the time of decommissioning, All materials and equipment will be removed, and the full 700 acres of land will be brought back to its original state following the completion of operations.

Independent consulting firms with expertise in the state of Virginia have analyzed the potential traffic, economic, and environmental impacts in advance to ensure the development and operation of Cabin Point is safe and in harmony with Sussex County.
Throughout the construction and operation of Cabin Point Solar Center, Ørsted will hold regular meetings with Sussex County officials to discuss any concerns. Company representative are available to meet directly with nearby neighbors to address their concerns.
